As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Transportation Planning Program Manager with broad expertise in transportation management systems, as well as global and domestic logistics, you’ll create, implement, and manage end-to-end processes for international and domestic shipment planning. You will play a critical role in enabling the movement of freight throughout the Google technical infrastructure by aligning stakeholders (i.e., suppliers, contract manufacturers, and carriers) to a unified operational vision.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$155,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage transportation planning and execution utilizing the transportation management system while overseeing a team of transportation support vendors.
  • Serve as the primary transportation liaison between suppliers, contract manufacturing partners, national and regional carriers, and global logistics and compliance warehouses to synchronize shipping plans.
  • Improve transportation operations through strategic mode selection, shipment consolidations, and regulatory compliance to increase overall service delivery levels.
  • Develop and drive cost-saving opportunities within the network, seeking innovative solutions to streamline processes and recommending automation to improve efficiencies.
  • Prioritize workloads for self and staff to meet key performance indicators, while resolving day-to-day escalations through root cause analysis and training teams on fulfillment acceleration programs.
