Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant engineering degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in software or hardware engineering, or related experience in building distributed systems.
  • 10 years of team management/leadership experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading initiatives and developing policies or thought leadership in regulated, high visibility domains.
  • Experience creating structure within an environment with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Experience with influencing vendors, open standards, or industry groups.
  • Understanding of system hardware, networking, or operating systems security.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and technical talent.
  • Relevant engineering degree (BS, MS or PhD): computer science, electrical engineering, etc.

In this role, you will utilize experience managing large engineering teams, excellent relationship-building skills, and an understanding of system hardware, networking, operating systems, and their security. You will also use experience in software engineering and experience implementing unorthodox, novel ideas that solve real problems. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of projects.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $278,000-$399,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, which includes Technical Leads and Managers.
  • Develop and launch new security infrastructure as well as improve security of existing products.
  • Inspire and lead teams to implement novel solutions to security problems.
