Program Manager, Cloud Risk and Compliance, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Risk Management, Auditing, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in information security and compliance, IT audit, consulting, and risk management or compliance in regulated industries.
  • Experience with Google Cloud and Security or privacy domain.
  • Successful candidates will be required to obtain NV2 clearance under the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in problem solving within fast-paced and constantly changing environments.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: data protection, threat modeling, incident/emergency response, security risk mitigation or evaluation, OS hardening, vulnerability management, pen testing, access management, or familiarity with cryptographic concepts.
  • Knowledge of Security capabilities of Cloud products.
  • Ability to be an influential leader of a team composed of both technical and non-technical members.

About the job

As the Regional Cloud Risk and Compliance Lead, you will be primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive information security program that will protect business and unblock markets. In this role, you will be representing Google Cloud’s security compliance posture and providing the right level of compliance assurance to external parties.

To meet federal government security criteria Australian Citizenship is an essential requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Go-To-Market, customer security, risk and compliance functions to help them navigate the journey to cloud usage, remove blockers and address concerns.
  • Lead cloud security risk, operational resilience and audit engagements requested by Google Cloud’s largest customers, their internal IT audit teams, assigned third-party auditors or their regulators.
  • Manage, coordinate, and facilitate security and compliance programs to ensure that Google Cloud meets regulatory and contractual requirements and compliance risks are managed.
  • Tell the Google security and compliance innovation story and translate it into actionable steps customers can take towards adoption.
  • Help shape Google Cloud security and compliance, and help support the wider community of Google Cloud security and compliance professionals.
