Technical Program Manager, Supply Chain Analytics

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or a related technical field.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in a software program management role in cloud computing.
  • 8 years of experience working in a data analytics development environment, with supply chain applications through the project lifecycle.
  • 7 years of experience in managing large, cross-functional programs spanning technical and non-technical members.
  • Experience in conveying complex data insights through succinct visualizations and working with customers to maximize insights (Tableau, SQL).
  • Experience in leading development of analytics automation for one or more of supply chain verticals (e.g., logistics, procurement, order management etc.).

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Our team purpose is to enable efficient decision-making across Cloud Supply Chain and Operations (CSCO) data center supply chain by developing trust and promoting insightful data discovery. Our mission is to become a strategic advantage for CSCO by partnering cross-functionally to develop, and promote, trusted data, interpretable high-impact analytics through dashboards and visualizations. We are a fun team with passion for solving hard data analytics problems with practical applications in Google's data center supply chain.

In this role, you will work closely with functional teams across the supply chain (e.g., sourcing, manufacturing, finance, logistics, etc.) to improve data center readiness through data-driven decisions and our methods range from working on data curation and interactive visualizations. Also, you will develop capabilities that enable self-serve analytics in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work with functional supply chain teams across the organization (e.g., logistics, procurement, etc.) to understand their data analytics requirements, and develop a solution in an agile approach. Own technical aspects of the solution development (e.g., data visualizations, data tables, scripts, etc.).
  • Work with functional proof of concepts (POCs) and Program Managers (PgMs) to update our customers on completion times, discuss constraints and communicate progress.
  • Support program manage developing dashboards/reports, what-if analysis, models, data pipeline management, advance problem-solving toolkits or decision-support systems to improve the efficiency and responsiveness of Google’s infrastructure.
  • Support CSCO best practices by developing documentation, training and webinars (go/datacafe) to enable self-serve analytics for the supply chain.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to improve the CSCO operational model for delivering data solutions.
