About the job
This is a senior individual contributor role requiring a deep understanding of analog circuit design, capable of handling the complete design cycle for an entire analog integrated circuit, including schematic capture, simulation, layout oversight, and ultimately taking the design through to full chip tapeout.
Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize various analog circuits like amplifiers, comparators, bandgap references, DAC’s, voltage regulators and other custom analog blocks.
- Own complete analog design on full chip level, including floorplanning, circuit placement, power integrity analysis, ESD and ensure optimal circuit performance across the chip.
- Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure accurate implementation of analog circuit designs, considering critical layout considerations.
- Perform comprehensive SPICE simulations to verify circuit functionality, analyze performance metrics like noise, power consumption, linearity, and optimize.
- Lead design through tapeout process, including design reviews, final layout checks, and work with foundry to ensure successful chip fabrication. Participate in silicon bring-up activities, perform characterization and validation of analog circuits on the manufactured chip, and troubleshoot any design issues.
