Financial Analyst, Connected TV

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience working with financial concepts, agreement evaluation, or large-scale data systems.
  • Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, including in-year and long-range forecasting, reporting on forecast versus actual variance, presentations to executives, etc.
  • Experience in management consulting or other similar environments that require the preparation and communication of complex insights to executive audiences via slides and written documents.
  • Experience in agreement evaluation, specifically in the Connected TV space.
  • Ability to take initiatives in an unstructured environment and comfortable managing ambiguity.

The YouTube Finance team is part of the broader Strategy, Analytics, and Finance team (SAF) whose mission is to make YouTube commercially sustainable and more valuable, by identifying and steering the business towards the biggest opportunities, guiding the organization to make the best possible decisions, and enabling effective implementation with proactive and trusted risk management.

In this role, you will be part of the team providing global Finance support to YouTube’s executive management, specifically responsible for coordinating financial planning and analysis and agreement evaluation for one of the most critical focus areas within YouTube, Connected TV.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with key business leaders and the Finance team to guide Connected TV through a continued growth period with the analysis/tools and business insights that explain the drivers of business and profit performance.
  • Support Financial Planning and Analysis across various profit and loss within Connected TV, such as YouTube TV, Primetime Channels, and Transactional video on demand (TVOD).
  • Support agreement evaluations across each of YouTube’s Connected TV products, including in partnership with YouTube’s Product Partnerships organization.
  • Complete ad hoc business analyses and present insights to executive YouTube and Google Finance executives that include data-driven recommendations that guide strategic decisions.
