Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management or business operations.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Experience working in a data center, manufacturing, logistics, or similar operational environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in designing and building new operational or strategic functions in a global environment.
  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional business transformation and change management programs.
  • Experience managing OpEx/CapEx budgets and complex workforce models.
  • Track record of managing operations through periods of significant scaling or business transformation.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage the APAC Data Center Operations (DCOps) business, including regional business reviews, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, financial reporting, and executive-level communications.
  • Partner with global teams to define and implement core functional pillars (e.g., business management, operational excellence, regional readiness) that serves as the operating system for APAC DCOps.
  • Lead regional efforts to simplify and standardize operations. Own the governance framework for managing regional exceptions to global standards, balancing speed with risk.
  • Drive the regional financial strategy, including Operational Expenditure/Capital Expenditure (OpEx/CapEx) governance and the annual budgeting process. Oversee the regional workforce plan, tracking headcount and organizational health.
  • Manage a high-performing regional team of Program Managers to lead their respective strategic pillars and deliver regional results.
