Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
- Experience with SQL.
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to navigate and manage large datasets.
- Ability to collaborate across stakeholders and a demonstrated track record of influencing them through the disciplined use of data.
- Ability to take initiative and self-direct in an unstructured environment; comfortable with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, and people management skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
In this role, you will join the team supporting Android, a massive platform through which billions experience Google, touching nearly every Google service, product, and partner team globally. This role demands an agile thinker with data, investigative, collaboration and communication skills to grow in a high-paced setting. Focusing on both intricate financial models and creative problem-solving, you will go beyond data management to act as a subject matter expert (SME) who shapes strategies, drives critical ad hoc analyses, and delivers key insights to Android and Finance leadership.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Own the construction and maintenance of Android Lifetime Value models, directly shaping global investment decisions across dozens of Android partners. Serve as a central resource for conducting large platform valuations that touch nearly all Google Product Areas.
- Go beyond data provision to deliver insights, influence interpretation, and act as a steward to ensure stakeholders access and appropriately represent sensitive content.
- Sustain our existing Profit and Loss (P&L) and metrics systems, which are essential infrastructure for managing Android platform complexity, while focusing on improving performance, capability, and availability.
- Maintain close connections with key stakeholders in and out of Finance to continuously deliver more valuable and actionable insights.
- Contribute to our team’s global regulatory efforts by helping to draft Request for Information (RFI) responses and coordinate data for various legal and regulatory bodies.
