Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Experience with supply chain accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree.
- Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.
- Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
- Ability to propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and challenges early, manage time, and follow work plans.
- Excellent investigative skills and ability to communicate effectively with executive management.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, and ability to focus on continuous improvement.

You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

As the Technical Infrastructure Accounting Advisor, you’ll play a key role in the development and enhancement of various fixed asset processes by providing accounting and compliance requirements, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial statements. You’ll become the point of contact and trusted business partner for multiple Finance and Operations groups, for matters related to technical infrastructure. You’ll advise on best business practices and process improvements in order to maximize value for Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$183,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Advise and work closely with TI business partners on day-to-day decisions and problem solving regarding multiple areas of the technical infrastructure supply chain.
- Assess new transactions and technical infrastructure flows, and support the determination of their accounting treatment (partner with Technical Accounting as needed).
- Partner with multiple groups on new projects, and provide inputs.
- Develop and maintain accounting controls for fixed asset transactions and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other groups (e.g., Financial Planning and Analysis, International Controllership, Server Operations) to optimize fixed asset processes.
