Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in program or project management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with driving program management and accountability with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Experience driving cross-functional teams of technical backgrounds (e.g., engineering, product, marketing, sales, policy) towards bold, data-driven goals.
- Ability to identify opportunity areas then prioritize by leveraging input from cross-functional teams.
- Ability to switch between big picture breadth and attention to detail depth. Distinctive problem solving skills and impeccable business judgment.
- Comfortable with ambiguity with the ability to dive deep and build subject matter expertise within the vertical operation.
About the job
The YouTube Operations Technical Program Management team provides centralized program management capabilities for the entire YouTube Operations portfolio of work in order to drive efficiencies and prioritization, mature and transform operational workflows, ensure operational readiness for product launches and growth, and measurably implement cost-savings initiatives. We do this using deep domain expertise of YouTube’s products, business and platform operations.
As a Program Manager for this nascent function, you will be responsible for setting up transformative processes to drive durable cost savings for the YouTube Operations team e.g., establishing budget management processes, measure and report out on the current status of our responsible optimization and investing outcomes across the full range of the YouTube Global Operations, Operational Expenditure portfolio spanning Tech, Support and Trust and Safety verticals. You will also directly program manage the key critical efficiency or value creation initiatives per quarter. Lastly, you are expected to discover potential areas of opportunity for value creation or durable savings for the YouTube Global Operations team.
In this role, you will collaborate with many cross functional partners including other Operations teams, Business Development, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Go-To-Market, Support and Trust and Safety. You will be innovative, influential and ultimately set the direction of the program requiring effective communication of program statuses and narratives to executives to cross-functional teams.
In addition, you will be organized with meticulous attention to detail, diligently planning roadmaps and tracking progress of key milestones, and will drive launches of new features and initiatives requiring cross-functional resources.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $107,000-$153,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Set the strategy and execution plan for driving governance of cross-functional efficiency reviews including Trust and Safety, Partner Engineering, Tech, and Support in a bi-weekly review with YouTube Operations leadership and quarterly review with YouTube Executives.
- Conduct program management of 1-3 business critical efficiency or value creation initiatives per quarter, driving them through launch stage gates to capture the targeted cost-savings.
- Ensure the tracking of readouts of current status of YouTube’s Global Operations, Operational Expenditure investments.
- Discover new opportunity areas for additional value creation or efficiency gaining for YouTube’s global operations team.
- Develop scalable frameworks and influence Operations and cross-functional teams to action the recommended sized opportunities for either efficiencies or value creation.
