Web Solutions Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Java, C++, Python, or object oriented programming and full stack development.
  • 1 year of experience in TypeScript/Javascript front-end programming and Database/SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with unit testing, agile project development, and bug and change management systems.
  • Ability to be flexible/adaptable in exercising judgment in a fluid environment, and to prioritize and manage tasks.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions to business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that technical solutions are designed in a way that enables other Analytical teams to access data for operational reporting and data visualization.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineers to enhance core platforms and create applications using standard and Google-specific software development tools.
  • Write and review technical documents, including design, development, revision documents and review code in compiled or scripted languages.
  • Review and modify programs to increase operating efficiency or meet new requirements as well as execute testing, debugging, maintenance or program updates.
  • Design, build, deploy, and improve full-stack web applications using standard and Google-specific software development tools. This will include ensuring reliable backends, building pipelines to aggregate data from multiple sources, implementing front-ends, or enhancing performance of existing tools and services.
