Silicon Validation Engineer, DSP

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with test and debug infrastructure or test/lab automation using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Tcl.
  • Experience with Silicon Validation frameworks.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with system debug, embedded operating systems, and bare metal programming.
  • Experience executing tests on emulation platforms or FPGA and JTAG debuggers.
  • Knowledge with ARM architecture, SoC system level, and DSP.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test procedures to establish functionality of the new Silicon.
  • Debug failures with cross-functional teams for Silicon, Boards, Software, and Manufacturing.
  • Provide regular updates about Silicon health to platform, software, and volume manufacturing teams.
  • Plan, develop, and execute tests to validate DSP subsystem and integration at the system level.
  • Validate design on pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms.
