Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, or Business Administration or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in professional services (e.g., consulting, investment banking) or a corporate strategy role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience communicating and influencing a range of audiences, including executives.
  • Experience with SQL and spreadsheets.
  • Experience and passion in consumer internet and media industries.
  • Excellent business acumen, financial modeling, spreadsheet software and presentation software skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.

The YouTube Strategy team focuses on our highest priorities, solving complex, ambiguous problems that span early stage growth initiatives, investing in our largest product or business areas, making major operational or organizational changes, and assessing strategic rationale for YouTube external investment opportunities. Throughout, we provide analytics-based insights, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, help YouTube teams drive our most important strategic initiatives, and advise our senior leadership on the best path forward.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work on the priorities of YouTube’s leadership and determine how best to solve the company’s opportunities and challenging problems.
  • Structure, launch, and drive strategy workstreams including developing hypotheses, designing work plans, conducting analysis (including financial models), analyzing market/competitive trends, assessing business drivers, and operating metrics.
  • Prepare presentations and communicate findings to YouTube’s leadership and the broader organization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align on recommendations, financial, and headcount investments, launch plans, and enable a transition to long-term owners.
  • Be a culture carrier for the team.
