Technical Program Manager, ASCII

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in Technical Program Management, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Management, Stakeholder Management, and Strategic Planning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in delivering high-availability, large-scale distributed systems and reliable systems/cloud services.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience managing deployment of one or more 3p solutions like SAP, JDA, Kinaxis, etc. and managing deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a large portfolio of programs, spanning supply planning, execution, and asset management, working across numerous internal teams and external partners.
  • Initiate new software development programs, identifying and delivering features that drive performance, scale, functionality, security, quality, and efficiency.
  • Identify IT project management process improvements and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define/refine frameworks, processes, and tools.
  • Engage with engineering directors, product leaders, and other Technical Program Manager groups to streamline processes, simplify execution, and drive efficiencies.
