Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or Apps, Ads, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Experience negotiating agreements specifically for content licensing, data acquisition, or usage/display rights.
  • Experience collaborating and working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and gain alignment among stakeholders.

About the job

The Knowledge and Information Partnerships team (K&I) negotiates and manages partnerships for content (e.g. data licensing agreements), integrations (e.g., collaborations, product integrations) or distribution. These partnerships help build and differentiate Google’s products in several areas including: Search, Assistant, Geo (Maps, Local), Ads & Commerce.

We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial partnerships lead to continue expanding our collaborations with some of Google’s most strategic partners.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all search-related strategic partnerships with head partners, engaging with senior product and business stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Own the entire partnership opportunity lifecycle, including identifying new opportunities, pitching Early Access Programs (EAPs), and negotiating complex agreements (e.g., data acquisition, usage rights).
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to define partnership goals, develop go-to-market plans, launch and incubate new products, and find new product-enabling partnerships.
  • Serve as an expert on the creator, social media, AI, and Content as a Business (CaaB) space, acting as a liaison to collect feedback and influence the product roadmap with market and industry insights.
  • Work closely with Legal, Marketing, Finance, and other regional/cross-functional teams to review and gain alignment on all agreements, resolve issues, and scale new features internationally.
