As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will help us build the tools, components, and patterns that enable hundreds of developers and designers to create user experiences and next-generation capabilities in the Risk and Compliance Engineering space. You will be skilled at streamlining communications in a fast-moving environment, and driving complex, multi-year programs to success.The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and UX to define the program strategy and roadmap. Translate high-level business goals into a clear, actionable technical plan and be the go-to expert for how our programs will evolve.
  • Manage the end-to-end program life-cycle from ideation to launch. Be responsible for project scoping, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring timely delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Advocate for new technologies, process improvements, and architectural changes.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with a wide range of technical and business stakeholders. Be the connective tissue, ensuring alignment and clear communication across all teams.
  • Identify and establish metrics driven process improvements to increase team efficiency and execution.
