Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in strategy and business development within consulting, technology, digital media, advertising, or broadcast industry.
- Experience using data analytics to frame partnerships, including contractual and financial models.
- Experience with the digital video and the broadcast industry (traditional linear and digital), its business models (SVOD, AVOD, etc.) and technologies (video ad serving, Dynamic Ad Insertion).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with sales with the ability to influence perspectives and teams across large organizations with multiple level stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
- Experience working cross-functionally to design and implement creative technical solutions and processes to novel, complex challenges with the ability to work with an entrepreneurial approach.
- Experience developing partnerships, leading strategic initiatives and structuring and negotiating agreements.
- Understanding of Google's complex technical and product concepts.
- Excellent people management and communication skills to formulate and articulate business, financial and other points of value to multiple stakeholders including escalating and presenting issues to Google executive leadership and public speaking engagements.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
As a Strategic Partner Lead, you will be responsible for managing a book of business within our Video vertical. You will lead the relationship with some of Canada’s largest Broadcasters leveraging the best of Google’s products and platforms to grow their digital media business. We are looking for curious and investigative minds that can solve complex problems and develop close working relationships with key partners. Our clients' business is constantly evolving, so our products and approach need to change with them. You will be joining a team that aims to challenge and push boundaries on behalf of our partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Executive relationships (including C-level) with top partners within the Video vertical and develop a strong industry presence by representing Google in industry events.
- Create and structure new agreement proposals, agreement renewals and amendments to business generation partnerships, covering commercial, pricing, legal and operational aspects, acting as point of contact with corresponding internal support functions (Legal, Finance, Compliance, etc.).
- Lead annual business plans for Video vertical partners, including development of business goals, strategic initiatives and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Be accountable partners' business performance by partnering with Business Leads to assess the optimization pipeline they develop and execute on, and share latest developments of partners’ business strategy and goals.
- Develop a view of how Google’s entire product and solutions suite can help address your partners’ key needs.
