Senior Product Manager, Google Compute Engine

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience creating cloud platform APIs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, finance and other stakeholders.
  • 3 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 3 years of people management experience with direct reports, and in technical leadership.
  • Knowledge of operations culture whether Site Reliability Engineer, Developer Operations, or Platform Engineering.

This work combines technical leadership on topics including user experience, reliability, security, compliance, API evolution and management. Our users are large external IaaS buyers, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and SaaS-providers, and first-party Google Cloud services including CloudSQL, DataFlow and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Operations and Vertex.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Requirements Document (PRDs) by collaborating with partner teams (e.g., Engineers, PgMs, UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements to turn PRDs into Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for multiple teams.
  • Consult across other core IaaS/PaaS services and Application Ecosystem and AI teams to work seamlessly and plug into other Google Cloud Platform (GCP) frameworks.
  • Develop intelligent experiences that help customers achieve their workload intent and areas to improve.
  • Lead processes to define, identify, collect, and track appropriate product or business metrics, both quantitative and qualitative for new or existing products or business ventures.
  • Work with large-scale users of Compute Engine to understand unmet needs.
