- 5 years of experience managing a strategy team
- 5 years of experience with application suites and the technology landscape

- Master’s degree in engineering or a related field or MBA
- Expertise leading teams towards business goals
- Ability to balance technical and business issues
- Effective leadership skills, and ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and business experts

As the Director of Strategy and Growth for Workspace, you will lead strategy teams focused on driving business growth for Google Workspace’s collaboration suite of products. You will inspire a talented, collaborative team to identify opportunities, growth drivers, competitive landscape conditions, and recommendations to accelerate growth. You will serve as a critical partner to the Workspace leaders, helping to shape priorities, translate outlook into action, and ensure the efficient execution of key initiatives with the Business Operations team. You will be responsible for optimizing processes, facilitating cross-functional alignment, and providing data-driven insights to inform critical decisions.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $256,000-$360,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Lead the annual and multi-year corporate strategy process for the Workspace suite, translating the overarching company outlook into actionable business strategies and goals.
- Lead high-priority, cross-functional strategic projects (e.g., pricing model transformation, major product repositioning, new go-to-market motions) from problem definition through to implementation, ensuring alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Finance.
- Identify, analyze, and build business cases for new market entry and 'white space' growth opportunities to accelerate core business and expand into adjacent markets.
- Conduct deep competitive and industry analysis, including disruptive trends (e.g. AI integration), to proactively adjust the corporate strategy and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Act as a trusted strategic partner and advisor to the Workspace Vice President/General Manager and executive leadership team. Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
