Google Global Fleet is responsible for forecasting, planning, and allocating infrastructure capacity for customers across all of Google. As the leader of Google Global Fleet (GGF) engineering you will be responsible for the technology ecosystem and engineering teams that forecast, plan, and allocate network, machines, data center space, power, energy, and land resources for all of Google. You will work directly with business leaders to provide solutions for short and long term capacity needs, while using AI techniques to rapidly build tools and analytics to increase our capacity delivery velocity for Google’s customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $365,000-$505,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Formulate a strategic vision for the Google Global Fleet engineering organization, driving continuous innovation and the implementation of pioneering solutions to establish industry leadership in next-generation cloud services.
  • Lead a large-scale engineering organization across all domains of forecasting, planning, infrastructure design, and allocation for capacity domains including machines, network, power, space, and specialized hardware (GPUs/TPUs).
  • Advocate for software quality and testing methodologies, maintaining a rigorous focus on metrics and continuous process improvement.  Oversee the design, construction, and deployment of the fundamental software infrastructure supporting the breadth of Google and AI2 services.
  • Direct the management of robust, scalable systems designed to anticipate and satisfy exponential market demand.
  • Define and instill engineering excellence through principled design choices, standardized processes, and advanced tooling. Provide executive leadership for internal planning technologies and foster cross-functional collaboration.
