Senior Content Marketing Manager, Google Ads

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of experience in the digital advertising and marketing industry, with content marketing.
  • Experience leading a content initiative workstream, including research, development, and legal review.
  • Experience writing executive-level content including thought leadership articles, case studies, video scripts, and executive summaries.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience driving content projects from concept to completion.
  • Experience in management consulting, or similar business experience.
  • Ability to understand the C-suite audience and translate their challenges into compelling content.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, bring structure to problems, and turn strategic ideas into content plans.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to partner with product marketing, sales, subject matter experts (SMEs), and external agencies to source and execute content initiatives — producing content that is persuasive, concise, and credible to senior marketing executives and industry influencers.

About the job

As the Senior Content Marketing Manager, you'll play a critical role in helping to define Google Ads' perspective on the future of marketing and amplifying its impact through compelling content. In this role, you will translate ideas into engaging and accessible content. You will be expected to identify key trends and turn ideas into high-impact content that resonates with the audience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$245,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Produce a wide range of content, including thought leadership articles, white papers, case studies, video/podcast scripts, newsletter content, and social media posts.
  • Support the development and execution of a content strategy that showcases the value of technology and products.
  • Partner with product and marketing teams to align messaging with product priorities and market trends. Work with sales, technology, and event/editorial teams to create content for key events and integrated campaigns.
  • Manage industry trends and advancements in AI, marketing, and storytelling to ensure content is relevant and timely.
  • Own the entire content lifecycle from ideation to execution, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and meet business goals.
