Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g., SQL).
- 1 year of experience managing analytical projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in scripting, statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS), developing and managing metrics, and evaluating programs/products.
- Experience working with Engineers and Product Managers, around providing product-centric insights, extracting large sets of data with SQL and in designing ETL flows.
- Experience in developing models (e.g., statistical and causal inference, classification methods).
- Experience in identifying opportunities for product improvement and defining/measuring the success of those initiatives.
- Experience analyzing user behaviors in consumer apps, and linking those behaviors to business outcomes.

The iOS Google App (iGA) delivers the flagship Google Search experience on iPhones, meeting the diverse information needs of people each month. The iGA analyst team partners with the iGA product organization and other cross-functional collaborators to enable leaders to make data-driven decisions. We research and validate north star and operational metrics, perform experimentation and observational studies on users to launch high-quality features, and deliver strategic insights about Google and the market to inform high-level product decisions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Perform analysis by utilizing relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python), using comprehensive technical knowledge, use custom data infrastructure or existing data models.
- Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support business reviews with cross-functional/organizational leadership team. Translate analysis results to business insights or product improvement opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to influence product feature development decisions, and with some guidance.
- Build and prototype analysis and business cases iteratively to provide insights at scale. Develop comprehensive knowledge of Google data structures and metrics.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to influence, prioritize, and support product strategy around the iOS Google App's entry points, surfaces, and new product development opportunities.
