Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Experience with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in a public accounting or multinational company setting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with SQL and analyzing data sets to make business decisions.
- Experience in managing process improvements or automating tasks/reporting.
- Excellent business acumen, with the ability to recognize and present data.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.

You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on one of Google’s product areas. You will help ensure the financial accuracy of the Android Mobile gain and loss, build processes to support our complex agreements with partners, and review, analyze, and interpret financial data. You will also lead AI and Automation projects for the broader team. These projects have the goal of streamlining processes, automating tasks, generating time savings, and unlocking new insights. You will learn about all the AI tools at Google and develop expertise with how each is utilized.
You will be part of the larger Platforms and Devices controllership team dedicated to manage financial risks across systems, data, compliance, product launches, finance operations, accounting and reporting.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage global processes for the accounting of Android Mobile.
- Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional business partners to define, establish, and implement accounting systems, processes, and procedures. Review processes and implement controls to ensure mitigated risk for Google.
- Perform month-end close processes, including agreement review and preparing/posting journal entries. Prepare and present financials to management and support with requests from cross-functional teams.
- Lead automation projects related to journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, data analysis and more.
- Identify automation opportunities and assess the feasibility and work needed.
