Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development.
- 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to partner with local clients and regional partners.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with storage technologies and managing a team that built and operated systems at scale.
- Experience in partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (program manager/technical program manager/SRE) and building a solid roadmap of launches/improvements for specific areas.
- Experience in driving a portfolio of concurrent engineering projects running the gamut from short-term critical feature launches to long-term initiatives.
- Experience with delighting enterprise customers, and understanding of enterprise workloads.
- Ability to work with specialists on system designs and ambiguity.
- Ability to understand and guide work within a large, complex codebase.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team to deliver a high-performance, client experience for Google Cloud Storage and to build a high-performing team to execute on Storage priority of enabling AI/ML workloads for customers.
- Partner with stakeholders and technical leads to define and execute the technical strategy for Storage and ensure the team's roadmap directly supports the goal.
- Guide the team through complex architectural decisions and ensure standards for code quality. Improve the end-to-end customer experience.
- Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of software engineers while fostering an environment.
- Demonstrate deep customer empathy.
