Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Global Manufacturing Operations

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and final assembly process development and sustaining.
- Experience in PCBA (L6), system integration manufacturing (L10), and NPI process development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in configuring and tracking Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability (CP), and Process Capability Index (CPK) metrics.
- Experience in utilizing statistical analysis tools to monitor quality.
- Experience with design and Gerber tools including Valor, AutoCAD, and Cadence Allegro.
- Knowledge of manufacturing testing procedures.
- Understanding of industry manufacturing inspection standards.

Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated on-site support at Contract Manufacturers, owning Manufacturing Capability Assessments (MCA) and driving root-cause investigations for assembly issues.
- Define capacity requirements via time studies and line balancing, and lead the technical manufacturing definition for Request for Quotations (RFQs).
- Drive early New Product Introduction (NPI) engagement, own the Design For Manufacturing/Design For Assembly (DFM/DFA) process to resolve manufacturability issues, and qualify new site transfer lines.
- Manage production-released hardware through End of Life (EOL), overseeing assembly yields, process controls, and factory readiness for next-generation technologies.
- Implement automation and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and costs while maximizing yield, capacity, and overall product quality.
