Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting within the consumer hardware industry with a focus on cost structure management.
  • Ability to take charge, set objectives, generate results while building long-term relationships across organizational boundaries with all C-levels.
  • Ability to be organized, strategically focused, and manage ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication, with the ability to regularly present to executive management and business partners.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, business judgment, attention to detail, and financial modeling skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

As a Finance Analyst, you will join our Devices and Services Sales Finance team. Devices and Services is a very dynamic area with an exciting portfolio of products from phones to home and health. You will have interest and passion for consumer electronics to participate in shaping the future of the organization. As part of this role, you will partner with Sales Americas VP and Leadership team, developing a unique perspective on Google’s emerging product businesses and Go-To-Market strategies for Pixel business.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead Pixel RIB planning, monthly forecasting/close. Help build financial plans for the business and deliver the approved Revenue, Inventory, and Budget (RIB) envelope. Monitor risks and opportunities through the weekly risk log process.
  • Support channel readiness activities ahead of launches (contract reviews, pricing and RIB approvals) and ensure compliance.
  • Help shape Pixel business growth and long-term strategy through financial analysis (new partner agreements, expansions, etc.). Inform the economics/Return on Investment (ROI) and risk management of agreements, partnerships, and long-term investments.
  • Manage and drive efficiency in core finance processes such as units/RIB planning, reporting, business reviews, and business planning.
  • Partner with business to develop ROI framework around key areas of investment (RIB) and help drive investment trade-off discussions.
