  • 10 years of experience managing technical teams, team leads or managers.
  • Experience defining and driving technical strategy to launch features and develop a multi-year roadmap focused on member engagement and acquisition.
  • Experience in business generation, subscriptions, commerce, billing or consumer products at scale.
  • Experience in successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies.
  • Ability to build credibility and relationships across functions and regions.
  • Excellent communication skills working in a matrixed organization.

As a Software Engineering Manager you manage your project goals, contribute to product strategy and help develop your team. With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead the engineering efforts to expand our premium offerings and build core capabilities to monetize premium features across Google. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, analysts, data scientists, and other engineering leaders, to launch features and develop a multi-year roadmap focused on member engagement and acquisition.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Guide the direction and strategy for Google One's premium subscription, focusing on maximizing monetization of premium features and seamlessly integrating AI capabilities like Gemini across the Google ecosystem.
  • Define and own the roadmap for key capabilities across multiple teams to accelerate growth, launch velocity, and establish new business generation constructs.
  • Collaborate with first-party and third-party partners to understand their integration needs and engagement strategies with Google One.
  • Work with teams across Google to develop and implement new business growth models, such as one-time purchases, and credit metering.
  • Prioritize and monitor key health metrics for the platform, partner teams, and engineering team.
