Group Product Manager, Home Cross-Surface and Growth

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing product experiences for connected home devices and ecosystems, or WearOS, Android TV, or other embedded platforms.
  • Experience building consumer apps and driving consumer businesses.
  • Experience driving subscription-based products and growth strategies.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, global organization with international teams.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team
researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make
users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a
home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate, and execute the strategy and roadmap for Google Home Cross-Surface and Growth, in collaboration with other leaders across the team, identifying key opportunities and driving innovation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, UX, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and drive successful product launches.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to create cohesive user experiences across surfaces. Collaborate with Engineering and UX teams to develop and launch innovative features and enhancements.
  • Drive user engagement, subscription growth, and improve retention and churn within the Google Home ecosystem, establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and analyze user feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve.
