- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in advertising, marketing technology, management consulting, or product management.
- 2 years of experience managing individuals and leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading operational initiatives.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience executing strategic and operational sales initiatives and with scaled go-to-market activation programs.
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders (e.g., Director level or above) and build relationships with cross-functional partners.
- Ability to operate and drive clarity in a changing and ambiguous space, and navigate large, complicated organizations.
- Ability to build positive team culture.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and project management skills.
About the job
As the Manager of Compete and Proof Points, you will lead a team within the newly formed Global Commercial Enablement GTM team. You will be responsible for the compete resources and proof points that the Global Business Organization (GBO) will use to show up more prepared to win budgets. This leadership role will require that you translate business priorities and product strategy into actionable operational frameworks, empowering cross-functional teams for execution. You will work closely with GTM and Sales executives to take concepts into action, helping to drive decisions among GBO leadership.
We are seeking an individual who can proactively influence and collaborate across an organization to guide new strategic thinking and their implementation.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of individuals, set and communicate individual and team priorities that support organizational goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching.
- Identify business requirements to grow within the market and influence product development.
- Drive a strategic plan and roadmap to improve our pipeline and discovery tools for proof points and competitive intelligence. Lead the team responsible for developing GBO's proof points.
- Drive decision-making and execution for large, cross-functional projects and deliverables related to competitive intelligence and proof points. Influence executive leadership across go-to-market, global product solutions, sales and product management on compete strategy by delivering executive-ready insights and thoughtful facilitation.
- Orchestrate impactful cross-functional plans and build durable and scalable processes to support alignment, execution, and continuous improvement.
