In this role, you will work on key infrastructure components, contributing to the comprehensiveness and quality of the Buyable Corpus, also known externally as the Shopping Graph. You will collaborate with teams to leverage Machine Learning (ML) approaches to scale our data extraction systems and help create a Web Extractions Platform— a well-defined tool used by all Shopping teams

You will work on the back-end of 'Auto-feeds for Everyone,' an externally visible, merchant-facing automated feed management solution used by hundreds of thousands of merchants and processing billions of offers daily.People shop on Google more than a billion times a day - and the Commerce team is responsible for building the experiences that serve these users. The mission for Google Commerce is to be an essential part of the shopping journey for consumers - from inspiration to to a simple and secure checkout experience - and the best place for retailers/merchants to connect with consumers. We support and partner with the commerce ecosystem, from large retailers to small local merchants, to give them the tools, technology and scale to thrive in today’s digital world.

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code for our Shopping Graph.
  • Working on the Shopping Graph project provides a wide range of exciting engineering tests, spanning across data quality and infrastructure areas.
  • Develop systems and solutions with a focus on Data mining, Experiments, Logging, Metrics and the associated infrastructure.
  • Optimize the large scale data processing infrastructure: improve costs/latency of the offer discovery and data processing.
