Senior Privacy Engineer, Health Data Governance

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience working in a privacy related field (e.g., security engineering, data engineering, data scientist, compliance engineering, etc.).
- 2 years of experience designing solutions for technological problems that maintain the privacy posture of the organization, leading teams across multiple workstreams.
- 2 years of experience leading the application of privacy technologies (e.g., differential privacy, automated access management solutions, etc.) to solve technical and data management problems, customizing existing solutions and frameworks to meet user needs.
Preferred qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in software engineering or privacy & security, solutions architecture and software design.
- Familiarity with Google infrastructure (SQL, Borg, Boq, Spanner, Flume).
- Ability to produce effective, well thought out privacy reviews and design solutions.

- Design, architect, and lead implementation of privacy-enhancing solutions to complex privacy problems alongside product and engineering teams.
- Conduct privacy assessments and drive privacy outcomes for cutting-edge products in the Google Health area.
- Develop, document, and communicate internal guidance, influence external standards, and interpret privacy and compliance design principles.
- Mentor and train other team members on privacy techniques and best practices.
- Provide high-impact work with complex considerations that require working with multiple cross-functional groups.
