Security Manager, Google Data Centers

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with operations management and access controls.
  • Experience working in an environment that is dependent on systems and technology while managing a contracted workforce on a daily basis.
  • 5 years of experience with corporate or industrial physical security and risk assessment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience developing and deploying processes to mitigate risk.
  • 2 years of experience coordinating or leading security, and experience planning security operations or strategy for security programs.
  • 2 years of experience with data center technologies, infrastructure, and methodologies.
  • 2 years of experience managing incidents and crises.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with high ethical standards.
  • Excellent in business-level English written and verbal communication.

As a Data Center Security Manager, you deliver complete pieces of a project and make significant contributions. In this role, you will use your knowledge of security technology, data analysis, and data visualization to plan the efforts of a team responsible for small to medium-sized initiatives by delivering value-added perspectives and influencing project direction. You will contribute to cross-team collaborations, identify and recommend multiple creative ways to solve defined problems, and demonstrate the behaviors expected of all Googlers as captured in Google's cultural pillars. Additionally, you will engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations, making Google a better place to work.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $101,000-$144,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the compliance, security and risk management program at the Data Center campus or related infrastructure which includes managing site security incidents, escalations, guard contract management, and all other physical security related issues.
  • Provide after-hours on-call management support and act as primary point of contact in emergent, large scale event response, or crisis management when needed.
  • Execute investigations related to Code of Conduct and other business violations including worker injuries and security incident investigations. Perform straightforward Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments (TVRA).
  • Implement established compliance processes aligned with CSRM policies, standards, guidelines, and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the security-related costs through budget, forecasting and invoice control for the assigned campus, and assist management with financial analysis and input to financial decisions for security requirements.
