People Consultant Manager, Google Taiwan (Mandarin, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist providing consultations to the business on topics such as performance management, workplace concerns, etc.
  • 5 years of experience managing an HR team.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working with the Taiwan local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to support the business in the market.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in HR, people programs, or other large-scale people related roles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex changes across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent sense of personal and professional credibility, including responsiveness, business focus, integrity, sound judgement, and ability to prioritize effectively across engaging demands.

The Taiwan Googler Experience (GX) team is the forntline execution and local intelligence engine for People Operations in Taiwan. We bridge global strategy with seamless local execution, delivering expert, locally relevant HR solutions to make Google better by being there for Googlers in the moments that matter.

As a People Consultant Manager you will lead a team of Taiwan People Consultants, and work with a group of Taiwanese Leaders, People Partners, Market Consultants, Site Program Managers, Country Process Owner and other POps teams to provide personalized guidance, support and solutions on a breadth of People Operations related activities requiring expertise and depth across multiple organizations and specialties.

Whether recruiting the next Googler, refining our core programs, developing talent, or simply looking for ways to inject some more fun into the lives of our Googlers, we bring a data-driven approach that is reinventing the human resources field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, challenge, motivate and inspire a team of People Consultants to deliver excellent, empathetic HR support to all clients in line with the People Experience goal.
  • Provide HR support and consultation on complex challenges within Taiwan, answer employee and manager questions about HR programs, policies and other HR-related items (performance management, compensation and rewards, employee relations, internal mobility, etc.).
  • Overcome challenges and get to the root cause of any issue, and design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines and stakeholders, even those beyond people and organizational boundaries.
  • Offer thought leadership regarding the People Consultant team and people-related strategy and execution for Taiwan.
