Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in the sales/business development function.
  • 10 years of experience selling IT solutions to companies.
  • 10 years of experience leading and scaling teams in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience leading teams that build working relationships with cross-functional teams internally and externally, and with executives at customer or partner organizations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience engaging C-level executives, with an established network in the industry.
  • Experience as a thought leader, with deep understanding of the cloud, SaaS, and productivity/collaboration space.
  • Experience in leadership, growing and scaling sales organizations.
  • Experience in cloud computing.
  • Track record of sales success.

About the job

As the Director of Google Workspace Japan, you will have a highly visible leadership role to scale the Google Workspace Business across Japan. You will be responsible for the success and growth of our fast growing customer base across our enterprise and corporate business segments, spanning our industries and regions.

As the leader, you will develop and own the Go-To-Market plan to scale the Japan business, positively impacting key business metrics including Net New Customer Growth, Customer Expansion and Retention, and Customer Reference-ability through excellent customer relationship management, knowledge, team-work, and programmatic engagement.

You will be a thought leader for Google’s innovation in the Collaboration and Productivity space and will leverage this knowledge to become a trusted advisor to customers across Japan.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the Go-To-Market strategy for Google Workspace in Japan. Achieve quarterly and annual goals, and develop and own direct and indirect growth strategies. 
  • Own C-level relationships with key customers. Manage teams that are focused on C-level engagements coupled with scale and growth opportunities.
  • Attract, hire, and develop talent to build scale.
  • Create alignment across multiple functions, with Marketing, Customer Engineer Managers, and Partners. Align with Workspace Product Engineering teams.
  • Be a key contributor to the global Workspace Sales Leadership team and the Japan Google Cloud Leadership team.
