You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

The YouTube Connections team is focusing on a new, high-impact area for YouTube, focused on empowering users to connect, engage, and create with their existing circles. We are seeking a talented UX Designer to join us.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a robust cross-functional team and benefit from dedicated support and mentorship from other executive designers as you design end-to-end user experiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, and Designers to define a user-centered goal and execute end-to-end connected experiences on YouTube.
  • Produce high-fidelity mocks, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, ensuring all visual specs are polished and ready for implementation.
  • Drive the product roadmap through ideation, user testing, and engaged research to stay ahead of evolving industry trends.
  • Manage design workflows across multiple concurrent projects, balancing iterative updates with long-term innovation.
  • Contribute to a feedback-driven creative culture while experimenting with and mastering AI tools to optimize design workflows.
