Localization Program Manager, Cloud Learning Services

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of localization program manager experience.
  • 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Experience with Workspace.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in driving delivery of projects, and communicating results to senior leaders.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Experience with industry standard localization tools.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Korean, German, or Indonesian, in addition to English, to support localized client-facing relationships and ensure learning content relevance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive localization quality strategy and roadmap for all Google Cloud training and credentialing offerings and web experience (landing pages and UI).
  • Develop and manage localization strategy, including negotiation and work with annual budget use.
  • Manage translation processing vendors to monitor the status and track the delivery of their projects and provide status updates to stakeholders. 
  • Gather and prioritize requirements from all stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and end-users, while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of localization features and workflows.
  • Manage the lifecycle of localization workflows, including planning, development, testing, release, and deprecation activities. Monitor and analyze trends, offerings, and emerging technologies in the language services industry to identify opportunities for innovation in processes, tools, and services.
