Display Module Mechanical Expert

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in mechanical design and development of display modules.
  • Experience with mechanical testing and validation methodologies for display modules.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX) and experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools for stress, thermal, and vibration analysis.
  • Experience in GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
  • Knowledge of various display technologies (e.g., LCD, OLED, Mini-LED, Micro-LED) and their mechanical requirements.
  • Understanding of display module manufacturing processes and material properties relevant to display modules.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will be dedicated to developing and delivering performance, reliable, and visually stunning display modules for smartphones, watches, and AR applications. You will be involved in our designs, manufacturing processes, and material selection to meet the evolving demands of the market.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design of display modules, prioritizing structural integrity and reliability.
  • Drive innovation in mechanical designs and material selection to significantly enhance panel robustness against impact, bending, and torsion via researching and implementing novel materials (e.g., advanced strengthened glass) and structural concepts to improve panel strength and durability.
  • Optimize display module manufacturing processes to enhance structural integrity and minimize potential failure points.
  • Develop and execute advanced mechanical testing and validation plans focused on assessing and enhancing panel strength and durability.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in materials, design principles, and testing methodologies relevant to enhancing display module strength.
