Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in data management, metrics analysis, experiment design and automation.
  • Experience with fraud and risk management or statistical and quantitative modeling.
  • Experience in the digital advertising industry in a technical role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate technical concepts with cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.

About the job

The mission of the Trust and Safety Ad Traffic Quality team is to make the ads ecosystem universally trusted and defended against invalid Traffic. The team analyzes events and creates scalable methods to stop frauds from causing harm to help users, advertisers, publishers, and Google gain information.

The Trust and Safety team has the responsibility of protecting Google's users by ensuring online safety by fighting web abuse and fraud across Google products. In this role, you will work to understand the user's point of view, and will work globally and cross-functionally with Google developers and Product Managers to navigate challenging online safety situations and manage abuse and fraud cases.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$151,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced statistical methods to data sets to analyze the impact of abuse on the Mobile ads ecosystem.
  • Perform fraud and spam investigations using various data sources, identify product vulnerabilities, and drive anti-abuse experiments to prevent abuse.
  • Work with engineers and stakeholders to improve workflows via process improvements, automation, and anti-abuse system creation.
  • Conduct fraud investigations using data and identify gaps in current defenses, explore/experiment with new signals and develop solutions for scalable enforcement on non-compliant publisher inventory with a focus on Android.
  • Work with Product, Engineering, and Trust and Safety teams to prevent abuse by changing policies and closing product loopholes.
