Global Transportation Security and Visibility Program Lead, GSRS

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience developing technical strategy and managing security in areas including Physical Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Video Management, PSIM, IT Networking, or Construction/Architecture.
  • Experience in supply chain management, vendor management, and driving supply chain programs including development/implementation of supply chain systems/processes.
  • Experience with cargo theft/leak prevention from transportation and warehousing operations.
  • Experience with risk analysis, risk assessments, risk management, and data analytics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading cross-functional process improvements.
  • Experience with transportation security and visibility technologies and platforms (i.e., GPS, RFID, BLE, Shipment monitoring platforms, etc.).
  • Knowledge of processes pertaining to supply chain functions such as demand and supply planning, fulfillment, transportation, and reverse logistics.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple levels of an organization.

About the job

Reporting to the Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) Head of Global Supply Chain Security & Resilience, and based in Mountain View, you will help to lead Google’s Global Supply Chain Security & Resilience Function. You will work with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance the security and confidentiality of Google products and assets through transportation and logistics processes. As such, you will lead transportation and logistics security strategy and operations related to physical security, investigations, risk/threat assessments, shipment monitoring, alert response, reporting, and innovation. You may also be responsible for supervising employees and contractors performing specific security related tasks, along with monitoring associated performance and expenses.

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$221,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Conduct periodic scans of Google assets to find any vulnerability, and test to highlight or find any weaknesses that might be exploited by a malicious party.
  • Manage technical programs, establish key program metrics based on technical or security program needs, manage teams, and drive action to ensure program success, and develop, delegate, and lead corrective actions to address security challenges.
  • Identify and define physical security requirements, and design security architecture and develop detailed security designs.
  • Collect feedback, ensure documentation is up to date, and facilitate discussions to follow up with stakeholders. Propose or implement changes for continuous improvement.
