Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience with interaction design in product design or User Experience (UX) design.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other related link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with the design tools to produce fidelity mockups and prototypes.
  • Experience in designing and launching consumer products.
  • Knowledge of design process, methodology, and human-centered design.
  • Excellent visual designing skills.

The UX team plays an integral part in gathering insights about the attitudes, emotions, and behaviors of people who use the products to inspire and inform design. We collaborate with each other and with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for the people who use them, and for Google’s businesses.

YouTube Shopping teams mission is to help viewers discover and shop products they love with creators they trust. The team works to make it easier for YouTube viewers to shop, from the moment they get an idea when they complete their purchase.

In this role, you will use user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution. You will collaborate with the design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful and inspired products. You will be part of the team who is building a simple and reliable checkout experience, making it easier for viewers to buy products on YouTube.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide solutions.
  • Communicate the user experience at multiple stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or fidelity prototypes.
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
  • Contribute to the shared platform design language by developing specifications for common components and patterns.
