Country Marketing Manager (English, Italian)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience in product marketing, brand marketing, marketing strategy or consulting.
  • 5 years of experience people manager.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Italian fluently to work with customers in Italy.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of local industry players in order to close successful partnerships.
  • Understanding of Google's strategic and competitive position, and determining the optimal way to position products in the market.
  • Keen understanding of the AI, search, online advertising, hardware & web publishing markets.
  • Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence, demonstrated ability to lead early stage strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Skilled in analyzing products, customers, market dynamics, and working on a variety of products.
  • Proven, successful track record of managing direct and cross-functional teams to increase company revenue and awareness through well-executed marketing efforts.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

The Country Marketing Manager for Italy is responsible for supporting Google's growth and business growth generating efforts in Italy through effective and results-focused marketing campaigns. You are a flexible, hard working, experienced individual, passionate about tech, able to analyze, measure, position, package, and promote Google’s product and business offerings in the country. You are proficient and passionate about using AI tools to improve business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize marketing plans with a strong focus on brand and product launches, to shape Google’s position and narrative in the market.
  • Manage the Italian marketing budget and advocate for the needs of the market in a fast-changing and dynamic international company, as a member of the Italy Leadership team. 
  • Lead the development of Google's marketing plans for consumer and advertiser products in Italy, working closely with Google product, PR, and Sales teams.
  • Evaluate Google’s brand and reputation and initiate programs to enhance Google brand through development of creative programs, brand awareness campaigns and promotions, working closely with Google public policy teams.
  • Identify and develop innovative brand strategies and plans to drive engagement and product adoption. Develop marketing plans for partners and customers, and be accountable for driving plans through to implementation.
