Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, program management or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • 1 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with problem-solving, quantitative analysis, and communicating findings to executive management.
  • Ability to work across teams, build relationships, and influence executives.

About the job

The YouTube Business Central Strategy and Operations Team is responsible for leading global, cross-functional, initiatives to drive the unprecedented growth and health of the YouTube creator and partner ecosystem. The core capabilities of the team include planning and business operations, incentives design and operations, and business strategy and operations for the three regions: Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

In this role, you will partner closely with leaders across YouTube Business organization to lead resource (budget and headcount) management process for the organization, and undertake special projects to improve how YouTube Business operates and executes.

As a key member of the YouTube Business Operations team, you will serve as the indispensable primary point of contact for all budget and headcount management activities across the organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operational functioning of YouTube by expertly managing financial processes, proactively troubleshooting budget discrepancies, and creatively addressing evolving headcount needs. Your responsibilities will include overseeing critical administrative tasks, managing vendor relationships, and building strong, collaborative partnerships with global stakeholders across Finance, People Ops, and various business units. As a vital enabler, you will identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, driving operational excellence and empowering the YouTube organization to achieve its goals through optimal resource allocation and effective resource management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000-$138,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and lead the management of budget and headcount lifecycles, encompassing planning, forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, allocation, transfers, and reporting.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve budget variances, financial issues, and evolving headcount challenges, developing creative solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Manage the vendor team supporting Purchase Order (PO) filing and other essential financial administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Build collaborative relationships with global stakeholders (e.g., Finance, People Ops, Product Activation, Go-to-Market) to ensure seamless budget and headcount operations and enable objectives.
  • Analyze data analysis on budget and headcount trends to inform decision-making and resource optimization, while continuously identifying and implementing process improvements, tools, and automation for efficient management.
