Financial Analyst, Supply Chain and Silicon Finance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting within the tech sector (hardware consumer electronics space).
  • Experience in management, reporting and analysis on operating expenses and cost of goods sold.
  • Knowledge of SAP, tableau, SQL, problem-solving tools/systems (e.g. statistics / data visualization software), spreadsheets, Machine Learning, AI tools.
  • Ability to combine with business judgement.
  • Ability to be organized, strategically focused, detail-oriented, and with the capacity to agree with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Excellent track record of partnership and collaboration across stakeholders.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on one of Google product areas -- Consumer Hardware! This area includes Pixel Phones, Buds, Watches, Home and Health and Custom Silicon Your responsibilities will include designing/building critical financial infrastructure to support the business and working closely with the Supply Chain and Silicon team to track performance and ensure optimal cost structures and overall sound decision making.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Budgeting, planning, forecasting and reporting for Supply Chain and Silicon organization Operating Expenses and Cost of Goods Sold.
  • Building models and providing analytics assistance on business cases and monthly reporting on multiple line items such as professional services, software licenses, intellectual property licenses, travel expenses, bill of materials and capital assets.
  • Partnering with Product, Sales, Engineering, Legal, Supply Chain and Operations, as well as other finance teams to improve existing and implementing new processes and policies to increase business efficiency.
  • Influence decision making through problem-solving insight into decisions on profit and loss and profitability optimization and efficient use of resources.
  • Partner with the functional teams to understand industry, product, and business related trends that could result in additional financial risk to Google. Manage finance processes such as financial planning, reporting, business reviews, and business planning.
