Product Feedback Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Science, or related technical fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
  • 4 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
  • 3 years of experience with designing experiments, developing statistical models, measurement, and identifying business opportunities.

About the job

As a Product Feedback Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing and synthesizing product feedback from various sources to identify actionable insights that drive product improvements and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies. You will work closely with product and GTM partners to develop a deep understanding of user needs and pain points across Google's Ads and policies. You will leverage your investigative skills to translate raw feedback into meaningful data points and contribute to the development of recommendations for Product, Engineering, and GTM stakeholders. You will be an advocate for a data-driven approach to understanding user sentiment and contribute to ensuring that feedback effectively informs product development and commercialization efforts.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data processes using Java or Python to collect, clean, transform, and analyze product feedback data from various sources.
  • Conduct advanced quantitative data analysis using SQL and statistical methods to identify significant trends, correlations, and root causes within product feedback.
  • Develop sophisticated data models and visualizations to communicate complex feedback insights in a clear and compelling manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to apply statistical and potentially machine learning techniques to uncover deeper patterns and predict future user needs based on feedback.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that enable stakeholders to self-serve and monitor key product feedback metrics.
