SAP Technical Solutions Consultant, Infrastructure, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in technical troubleshooting cloud infrastructures and coding/scripting in Python or Java.
  • 5 years of experience in stakeholder management, SAP solution engineering, technical consulting, and technical leadership.
  • Experience with SAP products (e.g., SAP HANA, NetWeaver, SAP HA/DR), SAP technologies, and solution architecture.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix systems, including shell scripting, file system management, and client-server protocols.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with public clouds and cloud infrastructure including building, testing, and deploying cloud based services.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting services on the cloud.
  • Knowledge of modern software development methodologies with emphasis on multi-tenancy and high-availability.
  • Knowledge of databases and performance optimization.

In this role, you will participate in low level software validation and certification of SAP products on Google Infrastructure, creating best practices for SAP products on GCP, documentation of solutions and reference architectures, integrating and testing new features delivered to make SAP performant. You will work closely with the Business Development team, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to make Google the platform of choice for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the development, testing, certification and support of SAP solutions on Google IaaS. 
  • Provide technical consultancy and advice on best practices, topologies, solutions, and other deployment patterns in collaboration with other key members of the Cloud Engineering teams and other cross-functional groups.
  • Validate the consistency of new technologies and their interoperability with SAP software by scoping validation proposals and performance tests, KPIs, and desired outcomes, and publishing whitepapers and technology assessments.
  • Design and implement solutions, including write scripts, executing tests and performing analysis on results, and work closely with Engineering and Product Management teams across the globe to identify feature gaps, deficiencies, and bugs.
  • Analyze product bugs and feature requests raised by customers and work with internal teams to implement effective solutions, and identify opportunities for innovation that benefit GCP customers and partners.
