Global Security Threat Intelligence Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working with security intelligence processes and procedures.
  • 2 years of experience supporting projects related to threats, vulnerabilities, or risks to the company.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in partnering with diverse teams to achieve business goals.
  • 5 years of experience in advanced research and security risk analysis.
  • Experience in creating insights based on stakeholder needs and communicates with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to arrange information and communicate risk and opportunity to audiences.
  • Excellent leadership skill.

Global Security and Resilience Services Global Intelligence's mission is to inform business selections with trusted security risk analysis to protect Alphabet's people, property, and ideas.

In this role, you will join a team of analysts on the Business Actions and Risk team who provide forward looking assessments to a range of Google selection-makers and leaders across Alphabet’s product areas. You will apply judgment, security acumen, and open source research skills to conduct risk assessments, intelligence briefings, analysis, and vendor management.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate accurate and timely global intelligence to support action plans based on impact, credibility, and likelihood.
  • Assess risk to Google facilities, operations, and personnel across product areas, based on ongoing or future events.
  • Use available sources to research and evaluate risk, based on potential threats or concerns to Google, people, property, and ideas.
  • Author assessments about operational risks or concerns to Google and disseminate to appropriate stakeholders. Develop and maintain intelligence processes to meet changing requirements and prevent surprise.
  • Coordinate with security counterparts to make risk-based recommendations about posture and resource allocation.
