About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
In this role, you will own the consensus demand supply plan for all Pixel Phones and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes for your team. You will lead a team of Program Managers as they coordinate multi-disciplinary projects, managing requirements, project schedules, and cross-functional risks across global offices and time zones. Your leadership will be critical in expanding global supply operations and defining NPI strategies including launch portfolio, assortment, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Category Planners, fostering career growth and cultivating a collaborative, high-performance culture within the Planning organization.
- Drive monthly S&OP, presenting demand plans, supply analysis, and risks to executive leadership, product strategy via deep analytics, proposing optimal capacity investments, SKU features, and supply strategies to maximize revenue and supply chain flexibility.
- Partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to align on business plans, manage supply constraints, and optimize allocations.
- Oversee the product lifecycle, strategic planning during early engagement, defining NPI strategies and managing End of Life (EOL) transitions with a focus on minimizing excess and obsolete inventory risk.
- Advocate continuous improvement initiatives for planning systems such as o9, Anaplan, and Tobu. Lead the team through system transitions and drive enhancements to improve forecast accuracy.
