About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will serve the EMEA and APAC operational teams to ensure that inventory stewardship becomes a key priority and ensure that best inventory management practices are followed, that warehouse utilization is below 80% and that we are proactively auditing and correcting inventory practices within our warehouses. Also, you will have a relentless focus on removing excess and obsolete inventory from the system through cross-functional collaboration.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze excess/obsolete inventory for warehouse utilization and provides tactical support for required remediation.
  • Lead identification and implementation of process improvements, collaborate cross-functionally to establish best practices and corrective actions for inventory management, ensure timely execution, and promote a continuous improvement culture.
  • Analyze processes to identify discrepancies, trends and risks, prepare/present detailed reports with findings, recommendation, and root cause analysis. Generate actionable insights to resolve discrepancies and improve overall inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit standards, SOX, and regulations. Develop/implement audit schedules and verification protocols, collaborate with warehouse/operations to plan/manage audits with minimal disruption.
  • Serve as a key contact for inventory issues/improvements, partner with various teams to enhance inventory processes/controls, work with planning/procurement, and provide staff training/guidance on procedures and reporting accuracy.
