Senior Strategist, Platforms Enforcement Trust and Safety

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in data processing with SQL.
  • Experience analyzing ML models performance or working on LLMs.
  • Experience in Data Analysis, Research, Risk and Fraud Investigation, Internet Industry, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

About the job

Trust and Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. We use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products such as Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. In this role, you will work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed, with urgency.

Policy enforcement, the use and risk of Generative AI in advertising, and Legal and Regulatory enforcement management are the key focus areas of our team and ones with potential impact for the company. The Ads and Shopping Platforms Enforcement team are at the forefront of these challenges, balancing our role of fighting abuse at scale, with preserving a great customer experience for advertisers.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and investigate trends to define and implement enforcement strategies to address content-related abuse, questionable business practices, violations of Google's advertising policies, and general misuse of our products.
  • Work occasionally on-call rotations and review or be exposed to sensitive content.
  • Develop and maintain innovative and policy-relevant processes using GenAI techniques and technology to advance our enforcement capabilities.
  • Manage and respond to escalations from internal and external parties.
  • Be part of managing and implementing enforcement strategies for Google Ads policies under regulatory scrutiny worldwide and engage with stakeholders at all levels on Legal and Regulatory risk Ads Policy issues.
