Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in acoustic design and execution on consumer electronic products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience leading acoustic design and execution for consumer electronics.
- Experience in shipping end-to-end acoustic solutions, from product concept through production.
- Experience leading acoustic solutions for mobile phone or related products.
- Experience with acoustic test tools (SoundCheck, Klippel, Audio Precision, Polytec, etc.) and simulation tools (COMSOL, Ares, etc.).
- Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, including translating technical tradeoffs to customer impact, influencing product decisions, navigating and resolving ambiguity.

As an Acoustic Engineers, you play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing acoustic systems and components to ensure optimal acoustic performance. You will lead the design and implementation of speakers and mics in new consumer electronic devices. You'll analyze acoustic data, develop acoustic models and simulations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate acoustic engineering solutions into product designs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of speakers and mics in new consumer electronic devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional design, engineering, product, and operations teams to achieve acoustic solutions balancing ambitious performance, space, cost, and user experience goals.
- Collaborate with vendors and technology partners to scope new components and technologies.
- Conduct acoustic simulations (lumped sum and finite element methods) and lab testing of acoustic modules and products to validate performance.
- Support module and product factories to define and guide assembly, test, and failure analysis efforts.
